Dnd shadow blade build viable12/20/2023 ![]() ![]() There are a bunch of classes that can do combat tricks like this - but here's my criteria: I'd like the result to be a proper full caster - access to 9th level spells (and a ton of spell slots) ultimately and a good amount of utility outside of combat. I'm thinking something almost like a conjurer in skyrim: you're just wearing light armor, not really carrying anything special, and then when a fight comes, you conjure your sword and shield, cast your magical wards, and run in swiping at people or casting things like burning hands as a primary weapon, rather than as a backup. So I really enjoy playing magic users, but I also tend to like getting in the thick of fights.
